CDL-A Truck Driver
Location: Henniker, NH
Company: HHP Inc.

HHP Inc., a leader in the forestry industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL-A Truck Driver to support our sawmill operation in Henniker, New Hampshire. Our headquarters, located just off Routes 202 & 89, is home to our hardwood sawmill, pallet shop, and paper-quality chipping plant.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a valid CDL-A license and current DOT medical card.

  • Safely operate tractor trailers in compliance with all DOT/FMCSA state and federal regulations.

  • Verify cargo, paperwork, and load securement for each haul.

  • Operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders or log cranes when required.

  • Secure all cargo to meet or exceed DOT/FMCSA requirements.

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections, fuel trucks, and maintain accurate driver logs and trip tickets.

  • Report equipment deficiencies and follow dispatcher’s instructions on schedules, routes, and loads.

  • Participate in manual labor as needed, including loading/unloading assistance, trailer prep, debris removal, and tire chain installation in winter.

  • Follow all company, state, and federal safety rules, and wear required PPE.

  • Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and a positive work attitude.

 

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A License (required).

  • Clean and safe driving record.

  • DOT medical card and compliance with random drug/alcohol testing.

  • Minimum 1 year CDL-A driving experience.

  • Heavy equipment and mechanical experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to safety and detail.

 

Working Conditions

  • Indoor and outdoor work in varied weather and temperatures.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $65,000 – $80,000 annually (based on experience)

  • Hours: Full-time, 40–50 hours/week with overtime available

  • Home every night
