Job Description

The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine seek a neurologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The candidate will be expected to practice at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV and Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV, is a twenty-five bed, critical access medical facility employing over two hundred area residents and extending privilege to approximately 50 physicians. We strive to provide quality, efficient and cost-effective health care to Mineral County and surrounding area, utilizing both direct services and collaborative arrangements with other health care organizations. Potomac Valley Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. We are ready and equipped to provide the most modern healthcare available.

Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV, is a twenty-five bed, critical access facility serving the valley of the Potomac Highlands, which includes citizens of Grant, Hardy, Pendleton, Hampshire, and Mineral counties. The facility is supported by more than 350 employees and a medical staff of over 15.

Keyser and Petersburg are situated in quiet mountain settings offering four-season climates. Located near Deep Creek Lake and the Potomac River, respectively, the regions offer outdoor recreation and beautiful fall scenery.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of Neurology. The ideal candidate will practice general neurology with the ability to develop subspeciality practice applicable to training to experience.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed neurology residency program and must be board certified / eligible in neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
