JOB SUMMARY

The CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION TECHNICIAN performs a variety of technical and supportive care tasks to assist physicians in performing complex and invasive cardiac catheterization procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the physician.

JOB DESCRIPTION

13 weeks… Shift time: 7a-7:30p… 3x12s or 4x10s Daily Caseload: 3-6, rotating between about 8 techs… 1+ Years of experience required… First time travelers are not accepted… On-Call every 2-3 weekends. On-call schedule is Fri: 7p-7a, Sat: 24 hours, 7a-7a; and Sun: 24 hours, 7a-7a… No block schedules… Locals accepted…

JOB REQUIREMENTS

AART and NJ license must be in-hand… BLS, ACLS required… Skill Requirements: Scrub, diagnostic right and left heart cath, interventional cath, CTO, structural heart, ablations, devices (include ICD, Pacemakers, loop recorders etc.), interpretation/management of dysrhythmias; Will accept proficiency in either cath or EP lab procedures, both skillsets highly desired… Equipment experience required: Sterile procedure and equipment set up, rotablator, IABP, closure devices, balloon inflator, and stents… Charting System: EPIC, Cupid and Merge…
